Consultations at Trefaldwyn Vets
On arrival at our Montgomery or Llanfair branch, you will be met by our friendly team at the reception.
Our aim is to give an excellent service to our clients and this starts when you walk through the door.
Our waiting room is equipped with dog scales, which clients are welcome to pop in and use during our opening hours without an appointment, seating and information boards.
We sell a range of dog and cat food, healthy treats and harnesses, leads, collar tags and muzzles. Please speak to our team on reception if you would like us to order in something specific for you!

Here at Trefaldwyn Vets, we have a dedicated operating theatre where all of our major procedures are carried out.
The theatre is equipped with two anaesthetic machines, a dental machine and oscillometric blood pressure monitor.
At our Montgomery branch, we can carry out most routine and emergency surgeries.

We have a fully-equipped in-house laboratory, allowing us to provide the best possible care for your animals.
Our blood analysis equipment allows us to get results quickly, usually the same day, and means we can offer a range of tests from pre-anaesthetic blood screen for your pet up to a full blood wellness screen.
For more advanced analyses, we can send samples to specialist laboratories, allowing us to offer a full range of diagnostic and screening tests.
We have equipment to perform a wide range of in-house diagnostics.

Diagnostic Imaging at Trefaldwyn Vets
Here at Trefaldwyn, we have a range of diagnostic imaging equipment.
We have a digital x-ray machine, a state of the art static ultrasound scanner for small animals, portable ultrasound machines (for both small animals and for fertility assessments and pregnancy diagnosis in cattle) and an endoscope.
Our endoscope is used to visualise the rectum and colon, as well as the throat and oesophagus and is a very useful diagnostic tool in some cases.

Kennel Facilities
Here at Trefaldwyn Vets, we have separate cat and dog kennel rooms, and an isolation ward, ensuring that your pets’ stay with us is as stress-free as it can be.
For dogs, we have 2 large walk-in kennels, suitable for anything up to Great Dane size, 1 medium kennel suitable for dogs up to the size of a spaniel, and 2 small dog kennels. Our isolation ward has a large walk-in kennel allowing it to be used for any size of dog, and ensuring that we can properly care for animals with contagious disease whilst ensuring the safety of our other in-patients.
We have recently had a new block of cat kennels fitted in our cat room, which also has one extra large cat kennel so that your cat will feel comfortable, regardless of size.
Our kennels rooms are all heated and equipped for the use of heatpads and fluid pumps as necessary.
